5 Kid Friendly Places to ‘Fall’ in Love with San Diego

Fall is among us and there is nothing better than the crisp morning air, the changing color of the leaves, and the smell of cinnamon and spice everywhere. Since having Santiago and Sofia, I have looked for some fun activities that won’t break the bank to do this fall.

Harvest Festival

The Harvest Festival in San Diego is a great way to take in all the feels of fall in San Diego. It is open October 13-15th and even have military discounts available.

Gaslamp Quarter Fallback Festival is held every year, however the exact date is TBD. This is another free option and activities include hayrides, pony rides and more all in the heart of San Diego.

Pumpkin Patch

Lavender Hill Pumpkin Farm is a bit of a drive from the center of San Diego but well worth every mile.

Pumpkin Station is fun for the entire family. If you head to their site now they are offering a *free coupon*. Happy picking!

Knotts Scary Farm

At Knott’s Berry Farm from September 21- October 31st, you can enjoy bloodcurdling mazes and spooky live shows.

Dia de los Muertos

A free option at Old Town is to celebrate in style at the annual Dia de los Muertos celebrations on November 1st.

Go San Diego® Card

You can save on combined admission on many of these popular attractions, tours, and more with the Go San Diego® Card. Check out Go San Diego for more info.

I hope you enjoyed these suggestions as much as we did! I’d love to hear how you made the most out of your season.

Stay spooky and crisp, always,

a.
