This is Me

This is me, this is my family, this is us (totally copied from the TV show- which I LOVE!)

I was born and raised in Miami, FL. During my senior year in high school I was working at our local grocery store, driving a 1992 purple Toyota corolla (purple is my favorite color!) I took the SAT and ACT, got scared shitless and joined the Navy! I guess I can do a whole blog on the Navy but did 4 years and scrammed. I met my husband while in the Navy but we were just friends. When I got out I decided I wanted to go back home to Miami so I left him there. Turns out, 2 years later he got stationed in Miami! I guess I’ll write a whole other blog post on that adventure!

We got stationed in San Diego and have been living here for almost 3 years. Landed a dream job, bought our first home, bought my dream car, had twins and enjoyed everything San Diego had to offer.

So here I am, here we are, pending orders to London for another 3 years. I suppose I chose to write this blog because I feel I have so much to say on lessons learned…LIFE lessons learned and of course I love to talk about anything and everything.

My family is Cuban and I am first generation born in Miami. I hate being away from my family and the thought of living in another country for 3 years, away from my family brings me to tears…but I guess writing this will help me get all my anxiety out and hear of how others cope with similar situations.

I am so grateful for this life I live, who I get to live it with and by the grace of God be happy and joyous in it

I’d love to hear from you!

Best of love, hugs and kisses

Amanda, Amandita, Mojita, or whatever you love to call me! 🙂

  1. Hi Amanda! I’m so glad you’re blogging about your life with twins! I hope other mothers will benefit from your experiences and that this encourages them that they can do it. I look forward to reading what you have to say. 🙂
